Story about Malaysia 's most profitable Low-Fare, No-Frill Carrier

Air Asia was initially a second national carrier to Malaysia, established by DRB-Hicom Bhd back in 1996. Very unfortunately the carrier went into debt and eventually bought over by Dato Tony Fernandes for only 1 Malaysian Ringgit.

From a zero to the most profitable low-cost, no-frills carrier in South East Asia today. With the tag-line "Now Everyone Can Fly", Air Asia really fulfill everyone dream's of being able to jet-setting around the region and now to the whole world when Air Asia X goes into long-haul service at the last quarter of 2007.
