British Midland Airways (BMI)

BMI (British Midland Airways Limited) formarly known as British Midland, its a member of Star Alliance and one of the leading Europe's schedule airline. The airline served some 30 destinations around the globe including 11 destinations within UK.



BMI is the second-largest operator after British Airways to operate out of its base in London Heathrow. The airline's history can be traced back to 1938 when it starts off as Air Schools, then becoming Derby Aviation and Derby Airways before adopting the British Midland Airways (BMA) name in 1964. In 2001, it was rebrand as BMI.
