RYANAIR

Ryanair is one of Europe's most controversial companies, praised by some, criticised by others. Its supporters praise its commitment to low fares, radical management, and its willingness to challenge what it calls the 'establishment' within the airline industry. In fact it was model after its American counterpart Southwest Airlines with both are pioneer in providing low-fare, no-frill service.

Ryanair links Irish Republic, United Kingdom and Continental Europe from its hubs at Dublin, Glasgow Prestwick, London Stansted, Brussels South Charleroi and Frankfurt Hahn.

Ryanair was founded in May 1985 and began low-fare service between Waterford and London Gatwick. It moved into the Europe market in 1997 and in early 2003 expanded its activities with the acquisition form KLM of Stansted based low-fare airline.
