American Airlines

American Airlines (a member of oneworld alliance), world's largest airlines in terms of total transported passengers-miles and fleet size and second-largest airlines in the world behind Air France-KLM in terms of operating revenues.

The history of the airline can be traced dated back in 25th January 1930 when it was formed under American Airways and later renamed as American Airlines on 13th May 1934.

American Airlines absorbed Trans-Caribbean Airways in 1971 and Reno Air in 1999 before acquiring the assets of the contemporary Trans World Airlines (TWA) in April 2001.
