Launched in February 1997, the 328 Jet was designed as a jet-powered derivative of the 328 turboprop. Only slight modifications to the landing gear and wings were required, allowing Fairchild-Dornier to bring the 328 Jet to market relatively quickly. This is truly a testament to the excellent engineering of the original 328 prop!
