Swiss International Air Lines


Principal Swiss airlines operating a comprehensive network of scheduled services from Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Berne to more than 65 destinations in Europe, Africa, North and South America, and the Far East. Charter flights to the Mediterranean basin and Iceland are alsoprovided. Swiss was created when regional airlines Crossaie replaced the defunct national airline Swissair and began flying under the new guise in 1 April 2002. The airline was founded on 14 February 1975 as Business-Flyers Basel and adopted the Crossair name on 14 November 1978, prior to starting scheduled services on 2 April 1979. Swiss International Air Lines is a member of Star Alliance.
