Nouvelair

Privately owned Tunisian holiday airline flying tourists from 120 airports in 25 countries in Europe, the Maghreb, the Middle East and Africa to Tunisia's resorts, regularly serving Tunis, Monastir and Djerba. The airline was originally established in October 1989 as an affiliate of French operator Air Liberte and named Air Liberte Tunisie. Operations started on 21 March 1990 from Monastir with McDonnell Douglas MD-80s. The compan was bought by Tunisian private interests following financial difficulties at Air Liberte and renamed in March 1996.
